There’s something very magical about a little girl putting on her first Fairy Princess Dress! My almost two-year old twirled and danced around in her Plum Pixie Fairy Costume from Costume Discounters for hours and refused to take it off! She hates wearing anything on her head to having her wear the headpiece for more than a couple of minutes at a time was out of the question. Same with the wand, all she wanted to do was dance and run around! The fit was pretty great considering she’s 3 months away from turning two and I received the size 2-4 Toddler. She is however pretty tall for her age and weighs about 27 pounds. I knew right away that this was my favorite option for my little girl and I was not disappointed.
The Plum Pixie costume includes:
-
Dress
-
Wings
-
Headpiece
-
Wand
Overall the dress is well made and the material is seems like it will be holding up for many dress up days to come. What I really love about the costume is that it is a great Halloween option, but she will also continue wearing it to play dress up until she outgrows it. It’s a little big from the top right now, but definitely wearable. So I think it will be fitting her for a couple of years. The material is very stretchy so I think a four-year old will fit into it perfectly. The bottom part of the dress is made up of two layers. It has a white layer underneath a darker purple over a lighter purple mesh skirt. The shoulders are made of the same material. It has three flowers around the collar and two flowers along the bottom. The wings are also a bit big right now but the elastic can very easily be fixed a needle and some thread or if you want it adjustable you can also consider putting it up with safety pins. They are also made of purple mesh with a pink swirling design, topped with gold glitter. Like I mentioned, the headpiece was not her number one priority, but it’s a cute addition to the outfit. It has several flowers like the ones on the dress and a ribbons falling from the back. The wand is cute and simple, but it is also my one complaint. The little gold butterfly on the top almost immediately fell off. (It’s easily fixable also). All in all, I am very happy with this costume and I would definitely recommend it!
